Asian Soul / アジアン ソール

After one of my visits to my doctor for my diabetes I treated myself to lunch at this place called [Asian Soul].  It is a specialty curry shop.  You can choose from four different curries - chicken curry, dry curry, thai green curry, or thai red curry.  Today I decided to have the chicken curry.  The curry is served with a salad.  You can also ask for a larger portion of rice at no extra charge.

ちょっと前、通院の日の帰りにちょうど昼飯の時間だったので、三軒茶屋にあるカレー専門店「アジアン ソール」に行きました。この店のメニューに４種類のカレーしかありません。チキンカレー、ドライカレー、グリーンカレーとレッドカレーです。この日僕が注文したのはチキンカレー。 ランチはサラダ付き、あとライス大盛りのサービスも出来る。

Le Maghreb / ル マグレブ

Recently, I was walking around the neighborhood of Futakotamagawa, I decided to treat myself to lunch at a Moroccan restaurant I had remembered that was located near the station.  Although, this is a Moroccan restaurant, what they had on the lunch menu was more of a Japanese-Moroccan hybrid - couscous curry with a chicken kebab.  It was actually quite delicious! Lunch included a soup, salad and drink for a total price of 1200yen. 

ちょっと前に二子玉川駅周辺を歩きまわった時、昼食は駅の近くにあるモロッコ料理店「ル・マグレブ」に行った。モロッコ料理店なのに、ランチメニューちょっと日本・モロッコのハイブッドランチな感じがしました。食べたのはクスクス カレーとチキンケバブ。 そうなのよ、カレーでライスかナンではなくクスクスですよ。結構美味しかったよ。ランチは￥１２００でスープ、サラダ・ドリンク付き。

Cafe Lotta / カフェロッタ

Now that I have finished writing about our Hawaiian vacation and mother-in-law's visit, it's time to revert back to my regular posts featuring cafes, restaurants, and other neighborhoods I've walked around.  Today, my wife and I along with our friends decided to have some desserts at this cute little cafe near Shoin Jinja in Wakabayashi.  We all ordered the dessert plate which includes a choice of two desserts.  However, when we were brought our orders, we were given an extra dessert!  Lucky!!

さて、マウイ島旅行と義理の母のデートのネタが書き終わりましたので、通常のネタに戻ります。いろんな場所の散歩、食べに行ったカフェやレストランなど。今回は世田谷線の松陰神社前駅の近くにあるカフェ・ロッタを紹介します。このカフェの手作りデザートは絶品です。 私たちはデザートプレイとを注文しました。デザートメニューから２種類が選べられる。でもプレイとが運ばれた時、もう一つのデザートもあった。今日運が良い！

Before my mother-in-law and nephew headed home to Aomori, we decided to take them to Shin Okubo.  The nephew wanted to buy some K-Pop goods and hey, my wife and I love to have lunch there!

義理の母と甥っ子が青森に帰るまえ新大久保に連れてあげた。甥っ子が韓流グッズの買いものしてかったんです。もちろんうちの嫁も。僕は韓国料理が好きだから文句は言えません。

Date with my Mother-in-Law (Part 2) / 義理の母とのデート （パート２）

My mother-in-law and I must have waiting for about 45 minutes before the water bus finally showed up.  Fortunately as she is not used to walking all over the place, having a short rest before hopping on the boat was a good thing.  Seeing the Tokyo Sky Tree from the water bus was pretty cool too.

水上バスの待ち時間が４５分位だったかな。でも歩き回るのが苦手の義理の母にとってありがたいかも知りませんでした。 水上バスから見る東京スカイツリーも良いですね。

The last few times I've been to Hama Rikyu Gardens, the tea house was always crowded.  However, we were in luck today.  Although it was nearing closing time, there was no line and we were able to have some tea with sweets.

何回も浜離宮に来たことがありますが、上記の写真の中島の御茶屋は一度も入ったことない。なぜと言えば、凄い人気があって、いつも行列が出来てるの。でも今日運が良い。もしかした閉園の時間が近づいたから、全然込んでなかった。そして初めて中村茶屋に入った！

母さんが浜離宮で一番感動したのは３００年の松。

And so our date ended.  Now it was back home while we waited for Mikako and Ryo to come home from the concert.  Tomorrow, we will be taking them to Tokyo's Korea Town in Shin Okubo.

デートが終了。あとは家で嫁と甥っ子を待つだけ。明日二人が青森に帰る前に東京のコリアタウン、新大久保に連れてあげる。
