A Walk around Akatsuka in Itabashi Ward /

After featuring the Tokyo Daibutsu, we had a long walk back to the station so we decided to wander around as it was still early and the weather was good.  Just up the road from Jorenji Temple was the Akatsuka Botanical Garden.

Water lilies in the pond /

Iyo bluestone /

Bamboo grove / 竹林

Shishiotoshi.  I don't think there is an English translation for this word.  What it is and what you are looking at is a bamboo tube when fills with water which clacks against a stone when emptied. It's very soothing.

Spadderdock /

Cute clock on a building.

Cute bench inside a temple ground which also houses a pre-school.

Shogetsuin / 松月院

Toyokawa Dakiniten /

The Holly Tree at Shougetsuin /

And then we continued our walk back to the station and back home.
