Golden Week Adventures 2015 Day 3 (Part 4) Asamushi Hot Spring Resort / ゴルデンウィークアドベンチャー ２０１５年 三日目（パート４）浅虫温泉街

It was nice of my wife's friend to offer to drive us around today.  And it was nearing lunch time.  So off to Asamushi it was.  We were going to check out the restaurant that my wife says makes a great omurice.  However, she said she was worried that maybe the restaurant isn't there anymore.  When we got to Asamushi, we found the restaurant but unfortunately it was closed.  The only other shop that was open for business that wasn't in a ryokan was a soba shop but it was really crowded so we skipped that place to.  But lucky for us, just outside one of the major souvenir shops was having an outdoor festival so we had festival foods for lunch.

妻の友達のおかげで、車で浅虫温泉街に行きました。妻が大絶賛のオムライスの店を目指す。妻が店が潰れてないのかが心配でしたけど。浅虫に着いたら、良かったことに妻が話してた店は潰れてなかった。残念なことに昼の時点でものが完売で店にお客様がもう入れなかった。他に空いて店は小さな蕎麦処だったがその店もう凄い混んでてそこも却下。良かったことにお土産ビルの前になんかなフェスが開催してたので、屋台の食べ物がランチになった。

Lunch!  We had some yakisoba, fried rice, and miso denraku.

ランチ！焼きそばとチャーハンと味噌田楽。

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also had some yakitori as well.

 

焼きとりも食べました。

 

 



And I found an Aomori Prefecture craft beer - Manji Mugishizuku stout.

 

もちろん青森県の地ビールを見つけました。卍麦雫スタウト。

After lunch we walked down to the beach. 

ランチを食べたあと近くのビーチに散歩。

That large white building was Asamushi Kanko Hotel which I had stayed at with my wife, mother-in-law and nephew and few years ago.  My wife's friend informed us that it is not longer in business.  That was sad to hear as the room does have a great view of the ocean.

写真に写ってるビルは浅虫観光ホテル。昔妻と義理の母と妻の甥っ子で泊まったことがある。懐かしいな。妻の友達の話に聞くと現在浅虫観光ホテルは潰れました。悲しいことです。部屋から海が見えて最高なのに。

 

 

 

 

There was one other place in Asamushi that I wanted to go to.  The free foot bath outside Asamushi station.

 

浅虫にもう一箇所が行きたかった。それは駅前にある足湯。

 

 



 

 

 

 

The water here is really hot.  It takes a little while to get used to before being nice and comfy.

 

ここの足湯は慣れるまで本当に熱い。

 

 



 

 

This might give you an idea how hot it was.  I was only soaking my feet for about five minutes.

 

これでどのぐらい熱いかわかるかも知りません。５分で足がこんなに赤なりました。

 

 



Before leaving Asamushi, we went into the building and had ice cream!

浅虫去る前にビルに入ってアイスを食べました。

 

 

Our next destination was going to another temple that features the Showa Daibutsu.  We will be heading to Seiryuji.

 

次の目的地はまたお寺です。清滝寺。ここのお寺にあるのは昭和大仏。
