Shibuya Niku Yokocho / 渋谷肉横丁

Yukio finished his test and joined us in Shibuya.  It was right about time for dinner and we chose to check out a place called [Shibuya Niku Yokocho].  This would translate to "Shibuya Meat Alley".  The second floor of a building is entirely devoted to meat!  It's a meat cuisine food court featuring over 10 different restaurants.



We were a bit early so not all the restaurants inside were open for business yet.


As you can see, it wasn't quite crowded yet either.  We decided on a place called [Yoshio] who's specialty is Sendai beef tongue.
見ての通り、行った時間はまだ混んでませんでした。 最初に決めた店は仙台牛タン「由雄」(よしお)。
Starting off simple with edamame and fresh tomatoes.

More beef tongue, along with a skewered cherry tomatoes wrapped in bacon and shiitake mushrooms.

Yukio was not pleased with the quality of the meat so after we finished our meal here, we went to one of the other restaurants inside this food court.  We chose a place called the Brazil Sakaba [Devil]. 



The menu at Devil.  This is a Brazilian place so of course they had churasco on their menu.  Delicious!

The meat dishes were so delicious, we ordered the same thing twice!

I usually like my pineapples fresh but I always make an exception for abacaxi. This is a churasco grilled pineapple with cinnamon.  It is so delicious!!
