Hamburger Steak & Steak Restaurant [Big Boy] / ハンバーグ＆ステーキレストラン 「ビッグボーイ」

My friends in Tacoma will get a kick out of this. There are still [Big Boy] restaurants in Japan! The one in our neighborhood back in the States has been long gone from the Villa Plaza (now Lakewood Mall). Imagine my delight when I see the Big Boy mascot outside of the shop. We decided to have lunch here when we were exploring Omori.

アメリカの実家タコマで住んでる友達はこのネタを見たらびっくりするでしょう。日本になんごまだ「ビッグボーイ」のレストランがある。アメリカの実家なら遠い昔近所にあった店舗は閉店してしまい、中々目にはかからない様になった。大森でビッグボーイのレストランを発見したら自分もびっくり。ランチはここで決まり。

I think I've seen more Big Boy restaurants here in Tokyo than I have back in the States.

アメリカより日本のほうの店舗数が多いなのかね？

A Big Boy buffet is also available where you can have all-you-can-eat salad, soup, rice, and curry.

ビッグボーイバイキングもあります。サラダ・スープ・ライス・カレーがお替わり自由！

Of course we took advantage of the buffet. Even this salad would make a nice lunch.

もちろんバイキングも堪能しましたよ。このサラダとスープだけで良いランチになりそう。

My wife even had some of the curry.

妻はカレーも食べてみた。

I ordered the hamburger steak with chicken. You can also choose from 5 different kind of sauces for your hamburger steak as well - demiglasse, onion, garlic, wasabi soy sauce, or sudachi ponzu (a sweet & sour sauce).

僕が注文したのはハンバーグとチキン。ソースは５種類から選ばれる ー デミグラス、オニオン、ガーリック、わさび醤油、とすだちポン酢。

My wife ordered the hamburger steak with prawns. One of her favorite combinations.

妻が注文したのはハンバーグとエビフライ。妻はそのコンビやっぱり好きだな。
