Golden Week Adventures 2016 (Part 8) / ゴルデンウィークの冒険 ２０１６（パート８）

And off we go to Ajigasawa to meet Wasao, the Akita dog made famous for being cute but ugly.  There is also a movie based on the life of this dog and how Wasao became a celebrity. We passed by Wasao's home the first time because it was quite crowded and stopped for a snack a short stop away. The stray cat I met there was cute too.

有名になった秋田犬のわさおが居る場所鰺ヶ沢に行きました。わさおがネット上でブサカワで話題になった。そのご「わさお」という映画も出た（自分はまだ観てませんが）。最初は混みすぎて、ちょっと道の先に軽く休憩。そこに会った野良猫は可愛い。

Wasao was sleeping at first so we only got to see him from this vantage point.

Wasao's girlfriend (or wife), I forget which and the lady who took in the abandoned Akita dog.  Yep, there is a sad story with a happy ending for Wasao.

Now leaving Ajigasawa and heading back to Aomori.  We will pick up my mother-in-law from her place of employ, the The Memorial Ship Hakkoda Maru and then we would go out to dinner at an all you can eat restaurant - Stamina Taro.

 

鰺ヶ沢を去って青森市に戻る。義理の母の職場、八甲田丸に行く。そのあとは家族で食べ放題の店、スタミナ太郎で夕食。

A monument to a song called "Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyu Keshiki".  If you step near the monument, the song will play in its entirety, at a rather loud volume too!

 

"津軽海峡 冬景色" 歌詞碑。 近くに行くと自動にその歌が流れます。けっこう高音で！

 

 

 

 

 

Tomorrow, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law have the day off so we will be going Hirosaki to check out the cherry blossoms, even if the peak of the blossoms was last week.

 

明日、義理の母と義理の妹も休日なので、４人で弘前の桜祭り行く予定。年々満開が早まって、今年も桜の満開は先週だったらしい。
