Golden Week Adventures 2016 (Part 4) / ゴルデンウィークの冒険 ２０１６（パート４）

Lunch time in Tono. We went back to the Genghis Khan restaurant and noticed the parking lot had thinned out.  Just as we were getting out of the car, we saw a restaurant employee putting up the closed sign for the day!  So we went to other Genghis Khan shop only to find that it was still crowded and would be about a half-hour wait.  So we changed plans, gave up on eating Genghis Khan and settled for a ramen shop instead.

遠野市で昼食の時間。人気ナンバーワンのジンギスカンの店に戻って。駐車場が段々空いて、車から降りをとしたら、店の人が本日終了という看板を出してた。そこで別のジンギスカンの店に行ってみたらまだ行列ができて、待ち時間が３０分位。ジンギスカンを諦めて近くのラーメン屋に変更。

We decided on a ramen shop called Housuke.  Their specialty is the nira nanbu ramen.

 

昼食で決定したのは「宝介」というラーメン屋。元祖ニラ南部らーめんがメインみたい。

This ramen shop features an all you can eat nira and kimchi corner (with rice as well) for rree.

 

このらーめん屋にニラ、キムチとライスの食べ放題がただ。

 

 

This may seem like a regular bottle of beer but is made with hops grown in the Tohoku area.  It was mighty tasty!

 

普通の瓶ビールに見えると思いますが、ラベルを見ると岩手県、遠野産とれたえホップ使用の限定醗酵。凄い美味しいです。

 

 

Our final tourist destination in Tono City was the Furusato Village.  It wasn't much different from the Denshouen, just larger.

 

遠野で最後の観光名所を訪れたのはふるさと村。伝承園の似た様な感じですが、もっと広いだけ。

It was time to leave Tono City and head up to Aomori.

Reiko and I are fans of Shigeru Mizuki (creator of "Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro") and there was an illustrated version of "Legends of Tono" written by him which Reiko bought and I am currently borrowing and reading.

 

僕と玲ちゃんは水樹しげるのファンなので、玲ちゃんが水樹しげるが書いた「遠野物語」の本を購入。現在僕が借りて読んでます。

 

 

 

 

Towa Onsen / 問和温泉

 



We actually made one more stop before heading up to Aomori.  At Towa Parking Area, we dropped in at the Towa Onsen.  Always nice to soak in a bath before heading out on another long drive.  Unfortunately, the outdoor bath was closed for cleaning today.

 

 

青森目指す前にもう一箇所行きました。問話の道の駅。そこで問和温泉に行きました。残念ながら露天風呂がやってなかったが、やっぱり温泉は最高！
