A Walk around Nezu Jinja /

After checking out the beautiful flowers in the Azalea Garden, it was time to pay my respects at the shrine.  It was quite crowded today and since I've been here a couple of times before, I just wandered around the temple grounds and took pictures.

Nezu Jinja /

A very long line and its not even New Year's Day.

Mikoshi (portable shrine) / 神輿

Torii tunnel /

I love these old style buildings too.

And so ended my short little temple/shrine walk.  Tomorrow is a Sunday, so I will be walking in another neighborhood.

I've been avoiding Nezu Jinja despite the flowers, because the crowds scare me silly. I did get to Kameido Tenjin (wisteria) very early this morning, but fled when it got crowded. My definition of crowded: more than 10 people. :D
