A Walk around Kumano Shrine, Chuo Park, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (Part 4) /

Chuo Park is also located right across the way from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building  (which has twin towers) and going to the observatory at the top is free.  I've gone up before but since it was close I decided to check it out again!

This is the Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment Building.

Tokyo Governor still trying to get Tokyo to be a future Olympic site.

West Shinjuku Skyscrapers /

Interesting art piece /

The following pictures are views from the top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Tokyo is definitely a concrete jungle!

The tall building on the left is the Shinjuku Park Tower.  The tall building to the right is the Tokyo Opera City Tower.

The green area below is Chuo Park, you can also see the Shinjuku Niagara Falls as well.  The small cluster of buildings a bit to the left of that large yellow building is Kumano Jinja.

That white triangular building in the middle of the picture is Nakano Sun Plaza.

Tokyo Sky Tree /

I forget what that funky building in the foreground is.  (A couple of my blog followers informed me that the building is the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower - thank you friends!)

That building that looks like the Empire State Building is the NTT DoCoMo Yoyogi Building (240M).
You can see the Tokyo Tower to the right (next to the left of the tall black building).

Its very difficult to tell, but I tried to capture a picture with both the Tokyo Sky Tree and the Tokyo Tower.

Next, its off to lunch and my next area of walking.

Isn't that the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower? I remember seeing it when I was there. Rather striking.

The funky gherkin building is the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, which houses three colleges.

I'm nicely providing extra info because you nicely provided shots of Sky Tree! Wheee! ^^
