Lotteria / ロッテリア

Last weekend, I was on my own again, so I went and saw a movie at a theater that I knew Mikako wouldn't really be interested in. (It was "Ong Bak 2" starring Tony Jaa for you curious ones). As the movie ended, I was hungry and it was time for lunch. At first, I was going to check out "The Great Burger" in Harajuku. Unfortunately, I had forgotten one small detail. Today was Saturday, it was also the start of a 3-day weekend. "Great Burger" was just way too crowded. So I thought I would go to a ramen place - two popular ramen shops in Harajuku also had long lines, so I said the heck with it and decided to have lunch at one of Japan's burger chains - and Lotteria was the closest one. Well, I did want to try the zeppin cheeseburger here (which was produced by a well-known chef) and today seemed a good time as any. I ordered myself the zeppin bacon cheeseburger set (which comes with fries and a drink).

この間の休みはまた一人になったもんで、映画館でまた美香子が興味なさそうな映画を観に行きました（トニージャー主演の「マッハ ： 弐」。映画が終わったあとに腹が減って今日こそ、原宿にある「グレート・バーガー」に行こうと考えてた。行ってみたら、僕が一つの重大なことを忘れてた。今日は土曜日だし、３連休の始まりだった。土曜の原宿と渋谷は凄く混んでいる。「グレート・バーガー」行ってみたら、凄い強烈が出来てた。原宿の人気ラーメン店の方に行こうと思ったら、その店も行列があって、諦めて、近くのバーガーチェン店の「ロッテリア」に決定。前からロッテリアの絶品チーズバーガーも食べたかったし。注文したのは絶品ベーコンチーズバーガーセット。セットはポテトフライとドリンク付。

Although the burger itself was delicious, you can see by the picture that it wasn't very filling - not even with the fries. A little disappointed, I decided to walk to Shibuya and to my surprise came across a stand that was selling New York Style Hot Dogs - but I will save that for the next post.

バーガーは美味しかったけど、写真を見た通り、量が足りない。ポテトを食べてもお腹いっぱいにはならなかった。残念な気持ちで原宿を去って、歩いて渋谷に向かった。その途中になんとニューヨークスタイルホットドッグの屋台を発見。。。でもそれはまた今度紹介します。
