A Walk around Musashi Koyama /

Now that we are back in Japan, we once again went in search of different neighborhoods to explore and walk around. Today, we hopped on a bus headed for Gotanda and got off at an area called Musashi-Koyama. What interesting things will we find?

We started our walk by checking out the busy shotengai (market street would be the closest translation I suppose). We love going to different shotengais. There is always some interesting store to be found, and of course, a lot of food as well.

We then came upon this little shrine in a residential area. It seems to have built for fire prevention.

We also found this nice looking Spanish restaurant that we may go to some day, if we can find it again.

Betty Boop was in the neighborhood as well.

We were also looking for a quiet little place to have lunch, but you know that I will write that up as a separate post.

But as we were having lunch on the second floor of this building. Our view was of a yakitori shop that seemed to be doing brisk business. We decided then and there that we would buy some for dinner this evening.

Don't you just love the store sign?

Doesn't that just look wonderful.

And off to home it was.
