Mois Cafe / モワカフェ

At the end of last year and before we headed off to Aomori, we had plans to meet up with a friend to check out this small cafe in Shimokitazawa. It was located on the second floor of a building that was scheduled for demolition. Unfortunately, it was closed. So, our friend took us to another cafe that he was familiar with. It's also located in a residential area and if you didn't know it was a cafe, you pass it by thinking it's just another house.

年末、青森に行く前に下北沢にあるカフェに行く約束を友達としていた。カフェは古いビルの二階にあって、そのビルは去年の終わりで壊される事になっていた。でもその店に行ったら、なんと定休日でした。それで、友達がもう一件のカフェに連れて行ってくれた。その店は知らないと絶対普通の民家と間違えしてしまいそうな建物。なぜなら、この店は住宅街にある。店の名前は「モワカフェ」

家の外側にあるメニューを見るとカフェであるのがわかる。

The cafe opened at noon and we were it's first customers of the day. I loved the interior. The were seated at the upstairs dining area which had a very homey feel.

カフェは昼に開店、私たちがその日の最初の客でした。店内はアットホームな感じで、二階に案内され、結構心地よかったです。

There was a large dinner displayed along one wall, however we were here for lunch. I ordered a tomato sauce based stew. Mikako ordered the donburi which consisted of potatoes, bacon, and mushrooms. Our friend ordered the cream style stew. And we all had the same dessert. Although the food was delicious, I think the stews could have been heated a little more. Me and my friend's order was a little on the cold side.

壁にはディナーメニューが飾ってますが、今はランチの時間。僕が注文したのは牛肉のトマトクリーム煮。美香子が変わった丼ぶりを頼んで（具は里芋、ベーコン、とキノコ）、友達は鶏肉のクリーム煮を頼みました。デザートは皆一緒でした。料理は美味しかったが、煮込み物はまだぬるかった。美香子のどんぶりも変わった味と言いました。
