Golden Week Adventures 2016 (Part 13) / ゴルデンウィークの冒険 ２０１６（パート１３）

Last day in Aomori before returning to the metropolis known as Tokyo.  We were still debating on which ramen shop to go to for lunch.  Alas, my wife's choice of Asari and their Negi Ramen won over my desire to go to Aji no Sapporo for their Miso Curry Milk Ramen.  No problem though as I like both and I bought an instant version of the miso curry milk ramen. But first, a quick stop at Shin Aomori station.

青森最終日。どっちのラーメン屋に行くかを妻とまだ決めてなかった。 話して結局「あさ利」のネギラーメンに決定。僕は「味の札幌」の味噌カレー牛乳ラーメン食べたかったが、両方が好きなので問題ない。そして味噌カレーミルクラーメンのカップ麺を購入しました。その前に新青森駅に行った。

I was looking forward to spending at least 100yen here.  It is a vending machine for Aomori Prefecture nihon-shu taste testing.  You ask for a little cup at the sales counter, then drop in your 100yen, you can choose from the 5 different types of nihon-shu.

 

この自動販売機があるのが知ってて楽しみにしてました。カウンターから小さなカップを貰って、５種類の青森県の日本酒１００円で一つ楽しめる。ってことは５００円で全種類が楽しみるよ。

Lucky me!  I did get the mini Nebuta.

運良く、ミニねぶたをゲット。


And then it was time to go to Asari.  We had to get there early as this ramen shop draws a huge crowd and parking is really limited. We were lucky.  Not only did we get the last parking spot for the shop, we were also one of the first customers in line this morning.

そしてラーメン屋「あさ利」行き。早く行かないとすぐ行列が出来る。あと車の駐車場は少ない。私たちはここも運良く最後の注射スペースをゲットして、列の先頭から二番目に並んだ。

My sister-in-law was not into the spicy negi ramen so ordered herself the miso ramen.

 

義理の妹はあんまり辛いものが苦手なので、注文したのは味噌ラーメン。

 

 

What you need to know about this ramen shop though is that if you order the negi ramen and don't specify the spicyness level, you will be served the hottest.  You need to order either 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2 of the regular order.  Even the 1/3 spicyness has a real kick to it! It is not a ramen you can slurp or eat in a hurry.  And that soup just does not cool down!

 

 

このラーメン屋のネギラーメンですが、初めて来た人で普通にネギラーメンを注文すると、大変のことになるよ。なぜと言えば一番辛いものが出る。注文する時に1/4, 1/3, 1/2を注文するべき。私たちは1/3で注文しましたが、それでもかなりの辛さ。麺を普通にすすりませんよ。ゆっきり食べるべき。つゆも本当に冷めない！

Oh, but it is so delicious!  Very habit forming.

あー、それでも美味しい！やみつきになるよ。

And no, I wasn't kidding about the line.  Fortunately, this was after we had eaten.

はい、行列が出来る話は嘘ではありません。よかったことに、この写真はラーメンを食べたあとに撮った。

When in Aomori, Aspam is the place to shop for local delicacies and souvenirs.

 

青森に行くとアスパムに行くのも定番。ご当地のグルメあお土産がここで手に入る。

Yum, donuts.  And they're made with Dake Kimi (a brand corn).

 

おう、ドーナッツ。材料がなんとあの獄きみ。

 

 

 

Oh, and they sold the dake kimi tempura here too.  Yep, ate some of those as well.

 

あっ、ここにも獄きみ天ぷらもあった。もちろん食べましたよ。

 

 

 

We still had plenty of time before our train was to depart so we did a little shrine pilgrimage as well.  We went to three different shrines that we didn't go to the last time we were in town but I will save that for the next post as it is getting late and I must call it a night.

 

帰りの新幹線までたっぷり時間があっとので、ちょっとした神社巡りに行きました。今回も３社にお参りしました。それはまた今度話します。時間が遅くなって、今夜はもう寝ます。
