Tokyo Flashback : Company Christmas Party / 東京フラッシュバック：会社のクリスマスパーティー

Wow, it's been a little over three years since I quit my last job. I had started at my previous job in May of 2014. In December, I got to experience my first Office Christmas Party. It was held at a nice place in Shinagawa (I forgot what the name of the place was). What I do remember is that our department was chosen to do the preparations. I was also nominated as one of the emcees for the evening.

うわ～、前の職場からもう三年以上経ってます。その会社は２０１４年５月に入りました。そして年末に初めて会社のクリスマスパーティーに参加。うちの部署が幹事となってます。パーティーは品川に開催されたが、店名はもう忘れた。そうだ、俺が一人の司会者にもなってた。

As I was one of the emcees I didn't get a chance to relax to eat. I had to snarf my meal.

I would work for this company for three years before deciding to resign and move to Aomori City. 

この会社は三年間勤めて、辞めたあとに青森市に引っ越しました。

Christmas 2010 / クリスマス ２０１０年

It was a pleasant evening for Christmas last year. Instead of our usual fried chicken from KFC (actually last year we had some great rotisserie chicken from a Mexican restaurant but it unfortunately went out of business or moved), friends of ours invited us to their home for a roast chicken dinner! As Mikako was still working, I took myself to the top of the Carrot Tower (26th floor and the observation area is free!) in Sangenjaya to get a this nice view of Mt. Fuji. Then it was off to my friend's house. Not only were we treated to roast chicken, but we had quiche as well and a delicious salad. For dessert, Mikako and I brought a cake in the shape of an igloo (although it was store-bought).

去年のクリスマスの景色。うちは毎年ケンタ（ケンタッキー・フライド・チキン）を買って食べるんですが、今年は違う。ま、去年は三軒茶屋にあったメキシコ料理店で凄い美味しいチキンを買いましたが、店が移転したかつぶれたか、とりあえず三茶にはもありません。今年のクリスマス友達が誘ってくれましたので、手作りのローストチキンを御馳走になった。美香子がバイト終わったら、直ぐ友達の家に行く。その日は僕の公休日だったので、三茶にあるキャロットタワーの展望台まで上がって２６階から富士山を眺めた。 その後、美香子と合流して、友達の家に行って美味しいものを食べました。私たちはケーキを持って行きました（店で買ったものでしたが。）

Tokyo Dome Illumination / 東京ドームイルミネーション

As I was at the Tokyo Dome three times last month, twice for the Bon Jovi concerts and once to meet up with Mikako and her sister after an FT Island show that I also had a chance to check out the Holiday Illumination around the area.

先月は東京ドーム周辺は三回位いったもんで、その周りのイルミネーションもついでに見ました。

Okay, so this wasn't part of the illumination, but heck, it's Ultraman!!

これはイルミネーションとは関係ないと分かってますが、ウルトラマンだよ！！

This Year's Christmas Cake / 今年のクリスマスケーキ

Yep, the igloo cake has become a tradition for us.

今年もやっぱりかまくらケーキだね。うちで好例になってます。

We also had some Chameri as well (this is a sparkling drink with no alcohol).

僕は初めてチャンメリーを飲みました。甘くて美味しいね。
