Aomori Trip 2012 (Day 4) Nebuta no Ie : Wa・Rasse / 青森旅行 ２０１２ （四日目） ねぶたの家 ワ・ラッセ

The plan for today, to check out Wa Rasse.  This is a building which houses the Nebuta floats (similar to the Neputa Mura that we went to in Hirosaki). 

今日の目的は青森市の中心にある「ねぶたの家 ワ・ラッセ」、弘前の「ねぷた村」みたいな所です。

This is the building that houses a few Nebuta floats.  Perhaps I'm biased but I think the Nebuta floats are more intricate than the Neputa floats.

このビルが「ねぶたの家 ワ・ラッセ」。個人の意見ですが、ねぷたよりねぶたの方が良いなと思う。

I'm not sure if this is the Aomori Prefecture mascot or just a mascot of Wa Rasse.

これは青森県のマスコットかワ・ラッセのマスコットか分かりません。

This is just a tiny display model.  The actual Nebuta floats are huge!

このねぶたはディスプレイモデルだ。本物のねぶたはデッカイ！

There was a small display where you could draw your own Nebuta by the use of a computer.

パソコン用な物を使って、自分オリジナルねぶたの作成が出来る。（持って帰ることは出来ないけどね。）

You can see the shadow of someone's head at the bottom of the float which should give you an idea of how large these floats are as well.

ねぶたの下に人の頭の影が見えると思う。ねぷたの大きいさが伝わる。

There were also hands on displays that you could touch to see how the Nebutas are made.

手で触っても良いディスプレイも展示されてます。ねぶたの作り方が分かる様になってます。
