A Walk around Todoroki (Part 1) /

Last week as I was on my own, I decided to walk around Todoroki. Its here where you will find the Todoroki Valley Park, which is considered a power spot in Japan. Mikako and I had walked around here a few years ago, but that was before I started writing a blog, so I thought I would head out there again and share it with my faithful readers. It's almost hard to believe that you can find this much greenery in Tokyo. A nice bit of nature in the concrete jungle.

A little history of the valley and the valley being chosen as a cultural property.

The first scenic view as you walk down the stairs into the valley is the Golf Bridge.

A peaceful nature walk and not so crowded.

I learned that this the Yazawagawa River.

Oh, I remember this place. In one of our photo albums, I took a picture of Mikako standing in the middle of this small bridge.

As I continued walking, I came across a sign informing of the kinds of birds I would likely see in the valley.

I also came across a sign showing that a part of this area was used as a burial site and this was one that was still preserved in its original condition.

As I was getting closer to the next scenic point, I happend to spot a crow that didn't seem to be afraid of people.

The crow was looking straight at me as if to say, "Go ahead, make my day!"

To be continued...
