Superfly "Dancing at Budokan!!" / Superfly 「ダンシング・アット・武道館」

On Monday, I refreshingly went to a concert. Superfly is currently my favorite group and I've been listening to it quite a bit. This woman, Shiho is Superfly. She may be a petite Japanese woman but she has one hell of a voice. Her music is rock! She was influenced by Janis Joplin. In fact, Big Brother and the Holding Company invited her to sing a couple of songs with them for the 30th Anniversary of Woodstock. Superfly currently has two albums out and played a two-hour set featuring songs from both albums, but since I don't believe her albums are available in the States, I will skip the set list. The show sold out quickly so I bought my tickets through Yahoo Auction. But here was a strange coincidence. The friends I went with to Kinugawa Hot Springs decided that they wanted to go to the show too. As it was mostly sold-out, they also got their tickets through Yahoo Auction. The made their bid a month after I did, from a totally different person. Guess what? There seats were right next to ours!! I definitely want to see Superfly in concert again.

この前の月曜日、久しぶりにライブを見に行った。Superflyのライブでした。今僕が一番好きなアーティストです。ポスターの女性、越智志帆はSuperflyです。彼女は背が低いけど、パワフルな歌声の持ち主。聴いたらびっくりするよ。音楽はロック。彼女が尊敬してるアーティストはジャニス・ジョプリン。今年アメリカで行われた、ウッドストック30周年のライブでジャニスのバックバンド、ビッグブラザー・アンド・ザ・ホルディング・カンパニがSuperflyを招待して、そのバンドとジャニスの名曲を二曲も歌いました。よかったことに、武道館ライブもウッドストックで歌った曲も歌ってくれた。ジャニスの「ピース・オブ・マイ・ハート」。ライブも二時間ちょっとで感動しましたね。二枚目のアルバムもオリコンチャート①にもなってた。一般発売の時でチケットを買おうと思ったが、すぐ完売になってたんので、Yahooオークションでチケットをゲット。それで、超偶然な事があった。鬼怒川温泉で一緒に行った友達がこのライブも行きたくなったで、彼もYahooオークで入札しました。僕より一ヶ月後だよ。それにまったく違う人から入札。落札して、調べてみたら、私たちの隣の席でした。凄くない？あの武道館で隣の席になったんだよ。またSuperflyのライブ見に行きたい！
