On our recent walk from home to Meguro and back in which I featured where we ate lunch on the previous post, you didn't think I would walk and not take pictures of my surroundings did you? You find the most interesting places and things when you walk at leisure. So let me share with you the random pictures I took on our four hour walk.

この間、うちから目黒まで往復の散歩した時、写真いろいろ撮りましたよ。のびり歩くと面白い物とか所が発見する。その発見したものを紹介します。


Our walk started with our usual path that which we take when we go to Sangenjaya. However, today we were walking to Meguro so we did not stray from the walking path that goes strait to the Meguro River. This was taken in an area called Taishido. Not even half-way to our destination.

目黒までの散歩は三軒茶屋までのいつもの緑道に歩いた。この緑道は目黒川まで続く。上記の写真は太子堂あたりで撮った。まだ目的地の半分でもない。


This is a lot of nature to explore while walking along the path to Meguro River. Our first brush with nature were carps.

緑道に歩くと自然がいっぱい見えて楽しい。最初の自然ふれあいは鯉でした。


And then Mr. Turtle.

次は亀さん。

Pretty yellow fish.

綺麗な黄色の魚。

The water was so clear it reflected the flowers on the surface.

水が綺麗ので、花が水の上に写ってる。

The duck is taking a leisurely stroll as well. Yep, a great day for a walk or float if you're a duck.

あひるさんも泳ぎ散歩してる。やっぱり今日は散歩日和ですね。

Leaving the walking path, we were now walking along the Meguro River when I spotted this fine bird.

緑道から離れて、目黒川沿いに歩いてこうゆう鳥さんに出会った。



This is the Denraku Bridge over the Meguro River.

目黒川の上の青い橋は田楽橋です。

Here is something you won't see in the States. Large delivery trucks parked on the roof of a building.

アメリカでこうゆう風景見た事ない。でっかいビルの上にトラックが駐車してる。


This is another view of the Meguro River. It was taken as were walking back home after eating lunch at the udon shop. But first we were headed to Naka Meguro to buy some incense.

目黒の手打ちうどんを食べたあとに、帰りの散歩でまた目黒川の写真を撮りました。帰るまえに中目黒に寄り道をして、お香を買いに行った。

The Meguro Peace Bell we came across in a small park near the river.

目黒平和の鐘。目黒川沿いの公園で発見しました。


"Hana no Kage" statue near the Meguro Museum of Art.

目黒区美術館の近くにあった平和祈念の彫像 「花の影」

This is just too cool.

これなんだか格好いいと思った。

I also love some of the signs featured on restaurants as well.

和食の店に飾ってた物。味あるね？
