Back when I lived in Tokyo, one of my friends asked me to teach her and her friend English. So, every month we would choose some place to eat and study. However, on this occasion, my two students invited me to join them in partaking in cooking class that was being held in the neighborhood of Komaba where my friend lives.
東京に住んでて頃、一人の友達が僕にお願いして、彼女と彼女の友達に英語教えてという依頼。そして毎月３人でどっかの場所を決めて、ランチを食べながら、英語を教えてあげた。今回、彼女たちが僕を誘い、友達が住んでる駒場で料理教室に参加した。

My first two English language class students - Ryoko and Yukie. They are holding the two recipes for the dishes we will be making. Stir-fried green peppers and beef and mabodofu. We will be making it at a restaurant called [Hishidaya] in Komaba where Ryoko lives.
自分の最初の英会話生徒二人の涼子ちゃんとゆきえ。今日作ってみるのは麻婆豆腐と青椒肉絲。料理教室は駒場の商店街にあるレストラン「菱田屋」で行われる。

First, we watch and listen to Mr. Hishida as he prepares the meals.

今日の料理教室は第九回駒場町ゼミでした。

It was still pretty early when the cooking class finished, so the three of us decided to walk around the neighborhood.
料理教室が終わってからまだ早い時間だったので、３人で駒場を探索しました。
We stopped at a takoyaki shop called [Mishima] and bought some to eat later.
たこ焼きの店「みしま」でたこ焼きを買って、あとで食べる予定。
A television personality had come to this shop.
テレビタレントがこの店に来てましたね。サインに”まいうー”が書いてあるため、石塚さんがテレビ番組「メレンゲの気持ち」で紹介したのは間違いない！

We discovered it was open to the public and didn't cost anything (as far as I can remember).
一般公開してると分かって、入ってみた。確か無料だった気がする。

After touring the house, I came upon a sign that said it was the Kyu Maeda-ke Hontei or Former Maeda Family Residence.
建物を探索終わったところで、なんの建物がのサインを発見。書いてあとのは旧前田家本邸。

Although we didn't go in, we past in front of the Japan Folk Crafts Museum.
入ってはなかったけど、日本民芸館の前を通った。
