Tokyo Flashback : Ramen Shop [Kindenmaru] / 東京フラッシュバック：ラーメン処「金伝丸」・

It was Valentine's Day and also a Saturday in 2015. I was working for Costco Japan by then and had Saturdays and Sundays off whereas my wife continued to have Sundays and Mondays off. Saturdays became my solo adventure days. I had been want to got to this ramen shop located on Center-gai in Shibuya for a long time. I've been curious to try their GBC which is their Garlic Butter Cheese ramen. I love garlic and I love cheese - this seemed like a ramen made just for me!

２０１５年２月１４日。今日はバレンタインデイ。当時コストコジャパンに努めて、自分の休日は土日でした。妻はコンビニの店員で休日は変わらず日月でした。ってことで土曜日が自分の自由行動の日でした。僕は以前から気になったラーメン屋があった。それは渋谷センター街にあるラーメン処「金伝丸」。いつもセンター街を歩きながらこの店のメニューに書かれてるラーメンGBCが気になって食べてみたかった。GBCはガーリック・バター・チーズの略。僕はガーリックも好きだし、チーズも好き。まるで僕のために作られたラーメンって感じ。

There, on the bottom right, you can see the picture of the GBC ramen. A little expensive at 990 yen but it looks so good. 

右下に載ってるのはGBCラーメン。９９０円でちょっと高めなんですか、写真を見るかぎりは美味しそう。

The ramen was made with thick noodles and you can see all a number of garlic chips in the bowl. Only a small dab of butter and what looks to be about a tablespoonful of parmesan cheese. I believe it was a miso broth. The ramen was delicious but I never did go back to this restaurant for one simple reason. As I was eating my ramen, I saw under the table of a customer sitting across from a little mouse scurrying about and if you see one mouse, there's bound to be more. I know the ramen shop is in an old building but the thought of mice getting into the food is a rather unpleasant thought.

ラーメンの麺はちょっと太麺でガーリックチップはいっぱい入ってます。バターはそんな多くなかった。チーズはパルメザンチーズでした。スープは確か味噌味の気がする。この店はこの一回きりでしたね。ラーメンは美味しかったけど自分が食べる最中、向かいの席の下に小さな動物が走り回ってた。それがねずみでしたよ。一匹のねずみがいるということはもっといるはず。建物は古いとわかりますが、ねずみがキッチンを走り回ってると想像すると、またこの店に来ようと思えない。
