Tokyo Flashbacks : Okinawa Restaurant somewhere in Tokyo /

Unfortunately, it seems I didn't take a picture of the restaurant's name so I can't remember if this was the Okinawan place in Sangenjaya on Chazawa Street or if it was the restaurant near Route 246. Anyway, my wife and I were here with some friends.

Craft beer from Okinawa - Orion beer.

It looks like eggplants to me.

A very popular Okinawan dish is called umibudo which translates to "sea grapes". It is a type of algae called caulerpa lentillifera (yeah, I had to look that up!).

Is that a waffle? No, it is not. It looks like okonomiyaki to me.

I can't even remember some of the dishes we ordered.

But this was Okinawa soba or it might have been Soki soba.

One of my favorite dishes - stewed pork belly.

Dang, how much food did we order?

Hm, an Okinawa restaurant serving Korean style pancakes on their menu.

Looks like me had some bread too.

Sausages! I must have ordered those!

And a glass of shikuwasa sour to wash all that food down with.

Bon Appetit!
