My headbanging weekend continues. After seeing Aldious, the next band I was looking forward to seeing was Myrath. A band from Tunisia.

ヘッドバンギングの休日が続く。アルディオスを見たあと、次楽しみしてなのはチュニジア出身のバンドミラス。

MYRATH

This band incorporates the sounds of the Middle East and North Africa and also featured a belly dancer on the stage for the Japan debut.

このバンドはアラブや北アフリカの音楽も取り入れて、日本デビューでステージにベリダンサーが誕生した！

CAIN'S OFFERING

As much as I would have liked to have seen Cain's Offering which is a band that features members of Sonata Artica and Stratovarious, there performance was scheduled at the same time as Myrath and I had already planned on watching Myrath's entire set.

Cain's Offeringも見たかったが、時間はMyrathとかぶった為、見逃しました。結構スーパーバンドで期待出来るが、やっぱ時間が。このバンドはSonata ArticaとStratovariusのメンバーで結成されたユニット。

CANDLEMASS

I was a busy camper on this first day as there were so many bands I wanted to see the entire set of. This is another one of my favorite bands. Doom metal from Sweden. Messiah Marcolin may not be singing but I was still excited to see Leif Edling live!

初日で結構忙しい。ミラスの次はまたどうしても見たいバンドがあった。スウェーデンのドウームメタルの王者、キャンダルマス。メサイア・マーコリンが参加してないが、生でリイフ・エドリングが見れるのは嬉しい。

What to do now? Get something to eat and drink. Or check out a set by either Rage, a trio from Germany or Masterplan featuring Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow? Why not a bit of both as I had thirty minutes between the end of the Candlemass set and the start of either Rage or Masterplan.

さて、これからなにすれば良いか。食べ物と飲み物を探すか、次のバンドのステージに行くか。そして。どっちのバンドの演奏を見るか？ドイツのトリオのレイジかマスタープラン、現在ハロウィンのローランド・グラポウで活動してるバンド。難しい。とりあえず３０分は空いてるから食べ物と飲み物が先に決定。

A very simple lunch. Just a sandwich. It was quite good though.

シンプルなランチ。サンドを食べた。見た目は地味だが、美味しかった。

I think this may have been my first beer of the day.

これが今日初のビールでした。

ARMORED SAINT

However, I couldn't miss out on seeing Armored Saint with the return of John Bush to the fold. I was excited to see them in concert for the first time.

また楽しみしてたバンド、アーマード・セイント。ジョン・ブッシュが戻ったこどで大興奮してました。

I met one of my friends at Loud Park. The guy with the black hat is Masa. We worked together for a short while at Costco, although he was in a different department.

一人の友達とあった。黒い帽子を被ってる人はマサ。一緒に川崎でコストコの本社で働いてました。部署は違ったけど、ロックとメタルの話で仲良くなった。

Even more amazing, I met my friend Seiko who I hadn't seen in almost ten years. She was one of the first wave of regulars that frequented the rock bar "Dokken" in Shibuya back in the day.

もっと珍しのは約１０年会ってない友達と遭遇。聖子ちゃん。相変わらずロック魂が凄い！彼女と会っとのは昔渋谷にあったロックバーのドッケンでした。あ～、考えると懐かしい。彼女がその店の第一弾の常連客とも言える。彼女と他のメンバーも俺を受け入れて、日本の生活が倍以上楽しくなた。

Made a new friend as well, and the guy on the right is yet another friend I hadn't seen in years.

新しい仲間が出来て、更に右側に立ってる人も何年ぶりにあったんだろう。

Seiko went to see Danger Danger while I decided to catch part of the Exodus set. My battery was running down on my cell phone so I didn't get any pics of Exodus. I wasn't planning on watching Shinedown and thought I would use that time to find dinner before checking out Queensryche with their new vocalist.

聖子ちゃんはデンジャーデンジャーのライブに行って、僕はちょっとエクソダズを見に行った。シャインダウンはあんまり興味がないので、その時夕飯を食べる。５時からクイーンライクは見逃したくない。新しいボカリストの感じも気になる。
