Overnight trip to Urayasu (Part 2) Uruyasu Sanja Festival / 浦安一泊の旅 （パート２）浦安三社祭り

Sorry that it has taken me a while to write part 2.  With the annoying but automatic upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10, my photo album was affected as well.  I had to organize the photos before I could continue to write. Anyway, to continue our adventures in Urayasu, we first headed back to my friend's apartment to drop off our bags and to relax for a bit before heading out and enjoying the Urayasu Sanja Festival.

And now to head out into the town and enjoy the actual Urayasu Sanja Festival.  Unlike the one in Tokyo's Asakusa, it doesn't get quite as crowded.  The participants at three different shrines will parade through town while hoisting a portable shrine.  The participating shrines of the Urayasu Sanja Festival are the Seiryu Jinja, Toyouke Jinja, and the Inari Jinja.  We first went to the Inari Jinja.

さて、そろそろ街に出て浦安三社祭りを堪能する。東京の浅草ほどは混みませんが、浦安でも三つの神社がメインになってます、青龍神社、豊受神社と稲荷神社。私たちは最初に稲荷神社にお参りに行きました。

But you know what's really great about festivals?  The food booths! 

やっぱり祭りの一番の楽しみはいろんな屋台ですね。

On our way back to my friend's apartment, my wife was adamant about eating the shaved ice from this shop.

友達のマンションに戻る前に、妻が絶対この店のかき氷を食べることを朝から宣言してた。

My wife ordered the Yubari melon shaved ice.

妻は湯張メロンと練乳とかき氷。

And the strawberry shaved ice was awesome as well.

苺のかき氷も超美味しかった。

Dinner would be had at my friend's apartment.  It turned out to be a small home party as we planned on tomorrow's outing.

夕飯は友達のマンションで決定。小さなホームパーティになりました。食べながら明日の予定をどうするか決める。

Tonight's dinner. Store bought yakitori with mixed with a lot of Reiko's home cooked items. 

今夜の夕飯。買い出しした焼き鳥と玲子の手作り料理。

And tomorrow, we have decided on going to Saitama Prefecture to Saiboku Hams

明日の予定決まり。埼玉県に豚のテーマパークサイボクハムになりました。
