ゴルデンウィークの冒険は確か四日目です。今日妻の妹とお母さんも仕事から休みを頂いてるので、４人で弘前の桜祭りに出かけます。 車ではなく電車で弘前に行きます。
僕の義理の妹は写真が撮られるのは凄いやがりますが、僕のお願いで幻のツーショットが撮れた。 ま、ホームにある建物の中に居るのは僕の義理の母。監禁されてませんよ！だから、本当はスリーショットですね。
ここが桜を見る一番人気の場所。年々満開が早まってるので、本当の満開は先週でした。でも桜はまだそんなに散ってなかったのでまだ綺麗です。

世界温暖化のせいだ！

You can see a glimpse of the Hirosaki Castle. It was moved recently from its original site on the corner as repairs were being made to the wall. I saw a news piece on how they moved the entire castle which was quite interesting.
上に弘前城が少し見える。現在の位置は角から移動された。なんかの修復作業の為で弘前城全体が移動する必要があった。特集番組でどうやって弘前城を動かしたのを見て、凄いなと思った。
It was nearing noon, so we had to decide where we were going to eat. The great thing about festivals is there are always a lot of food booths to choose from.
そろそろ昼食の時間だったので、どこで食べるかを決めないと。祭りの時期は必ずいろんな出店があるので、食べるところを探し始めた。
We chose this place that served ramen and yakitori.
ここに決定しました。中華そば、おでん、焼きとりもありました。
And a beer with lunch.
ビールと共に。
I had yakisoba.
僕が食べたのは焼きそば。
And yakitori.
と焼きとり。
The women all chose the Chinese noodles.
女性人は中華そばを注文。
And my wife and I were looking forward to eating this again - Dake corn tempura. We recommended it to the others. It's very delicious!
僕と妻が去年も食べた獄きみ天ぷらをまた今年食べられるのは凄い嬉しかった。もちろん妹とお母さんにおすすめ致しましたよ。本当に美味しい！
We checked out a couple of stage performances. The man was speaking in the Tsugaru dialect but I understood about 60 to 70% of what he was saying.
ステージイベントもちょっと見ました。男性がけっこう強い津軽弁で話してたんで、多分６０から７０％しか理解出来なかった僕でした。
Then we watched a traditional Tsugaru dance.
次見たのは津軽の舞。
I also took a video clip of the next dance, but it seems my cell phone video and this blog site are not compatible.
次の踊りを動画で撮りましたが、残念ながら、携帯で撮った動画とこのサイトが合わないみたい。
And back to checking out more cherry blossoms.
そしてまた桜を堪能しました。
We also had a nice view of Mount Iwaki in the distance.
弘前公園からちょっと離れた岩木山も見えました。

This is not Hirosaki Castle, it is one of the smaller buildings. The official name is Hirosakijo Ninomaru Hitsujisarunoyagura.
これは弘前城ではございません。これは弘前城二の丸未申櫓。
More cherry blossoms / またまた桜の木
We had taken a bus from Hirosaki Station to Hirosaki Park but we decided to walk back to the station from the park.
弘前駅から弘前公園はバスで行きましたが、公園から駅戻る時は歩いて行きました。
On our walk back to the station, this building caught our eye. We decided to explore and discovered it to be the Aomori Bank Museum.
駅に戻る途中気になるビルを発見。調べてみたら青森銀行記念館でした。
So we explored the inside of the building as well. The first floor had displays of old currency, kind of like the Currency Museum in Tokyo, only on a smaller scale.
もちろんビルの中も探索したした。１階は昔のお金が展示されてます。東京の東京銀行 貨幣博物館と似てる様な感じ。
Continuing our walk back to the station, we came upon another ineteresting building, but we didn't go inside this one.
駅への歩きを続きましたら、また気になるビルを発見。このビルは入りませんでした。
But we did explore this one.
でもこのビルは入りました。
It turned out to be an antique and furniture store.
ここは家具と焼き物の店でした。
Walking along the main shopping street it feels like you kind of timewarped into another era.
メインの商店街らしきの道歩いたらなんだかタイムスリップした感じ。これは長屋ですよね？

I also enjoy checking out public art.
僕がなぜかこういうアートも好きなんです。
I would have loved to have checked out the ping pong building but I don't think the others would have been interested.
僕は卓球館に入りたかったが、多分ほかの３人は興味ないだろうと思い、行かなかった。

パブリックアート。弘前は林檎の街で有名。

I thought this would be inspirational to a few of my friends.

Finally made it back to Hirosaki station.
やっと弘前駅に戻りました。

I think I need to start compiling pictures of the post offices boxes that have some type of art on top of them. We had to return to Aomori by 5pm as we were meeting one of my wife's friends for dinner this evening.
