A Walk around Koedo Kawagoe (Part 2) / 小江戸川越の散歩 （パート２）

As we were walking towards Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley), some strange art work caught our eye.  A sign introducing the artist said all the pieces were made out of styrofoam.

小江戸川越に菓子屋横丁に向かってる途中、変わったアートのオブジェ発見。アーティスト紹介のサインに書かれたことが、全作品が発泡スチロールで出来てる。

Yes, these are snacks!  Really large ones too.  I think we bought one the last time we came here but they weren't all that delicious.  Just a novelty snack.

 

はい、日本一ながーい黒糖ふ菓子。以前小江戸川越に来た時買ったかも知りませんが、あんまり美味しいと思えなかった。ただ面白いだけ。

These carp are not made of styrofoam - they are real.

この鯉は本物で生きてます、発泡スチロールではございません。

This was my favorite styrofoam art pice, a chameleon on a large five yen coin.

発泡スチロールアートで僕はこれが一番の気入りだったな。五円の上にいるカメレオン。

One Coedo Beniaka Beer before heading home.

 

帰る前に埼玉県地ビールCoedo紅赤を飲みました。

 

 

I also bought a set of the other craft beers to take home - Shikkoku, Kyara, Ruri, and Shiro.

 

他の味のCoedo地ビールは買って持ち帰った。Shikkoku, Kyara、Ruri,とShiro.

 

 

 

 

Created this on my cell phone after getting home.  That's us eating senbei up top, cha soba for lunch, me drinking a Coedo beer with an ice cream and Mikako at Kita-in Temple.

 

帰ったらスマホで上記のやつを作りました。一番上の写真は私たちがせんべいを食べてる。真ん中は昼食で食べた茶そば。左下は僕がCoedoビールとアイスを堪能してる。そして右下は喜多院。

 

 

And so ended our date.  I hope you have been enjoying these short neighborhood walking day trips.  One of our next date spots is going to be Koganei where the Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum is located.  We have been there before but thought it would be nice to go walking around there again.

 

そして今回のデートが終了。日帰り散歩旅行楽しまか？次私たちが行こうとしてる場所は小金井。そこに江戸東京たてもの園がある。以前も行きましたが、またそこで散歩するのも良さそうで、まだ行きたいなと話してった。
