A Walk around the Sky Tree and Sumida Park (Part 2) / スカイツリーと墨田公園の散歩 （パート２）

It will be great to see the Sky Tree when it's completed, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2012.

スカイツリーが完成するのが楽しみですね。でもまだ二年先です。開業予定は２０１２年の春。

A portion of Sumida Park is also the location of the second residence of the old Mito clan from the Edo era along with its garden.

I love this picture where the cherry blossoms virtually hides the Sky Tree from view.

僕の一番気に入りの写真かも知らない、桜がスカイツリーを隠してる様な感じが良い。

At the shrine, you will come across the Nade Ushi which translates to something like a "petting cow". You rub the part of your body that is in bad health, and then rub the same area on the cow, and it's believed your ills will be cured. Not only of the body, but of the heart as well.

撫牛です。サインに書かれたことがあって、「撫牛の風習は、江戸時代から知られていました。自分の体の悪い部分をなで、牛の同じところをなでると病気が治るというものです。」

Aside from cherry blossoms, something called the genpeimomo was in bloom as well.

桜以外に源平桃という花も咲いてました。

Kind of picturesque with the blimp floating in the air as well.
