Cherry Blossoms around the Meguro River /

The end of March and the beginning of April is hanami season in Tokyo. It is when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom and people gather around to view them. These days its just an excuse to get together with friends and drink in public. Of course the cherry blossoms are a constant. As my friends and I are having our hanami the following week, I spent this day walking around Tokyo, checking out different areas of the cherry blossoms.

The Coliseum-like building on the left is the recently opened Ohashi Junction which connects this area to Shinjuku with an underground tunnel.

Someone's pet rabbit enjoying the cherry blossoms as well.

One last look at the cherry blossoms at Meguro River. I next headed off to the Hama Rikyu Gardens.
