Edo-Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum (Part 2) /

To continue our adventure through the Edo-Tokyo Outdoor Architectural Museum.

Residence of Hachirouemon Mitsui /

This is one large house!

The Kitchen / 台所

Very western style interior (except for the tatami)

These cases were used to store ryo (gold coins)

Definitely not lawn flamingoes.

Jisho-in Mausoleum /

Second House of the Nishikawa Family

Inside the Nishikawa home.

Gate of Date Family Residence /

There are also other items of interest besides the buildings.

Looks like we missed the last tour you can take on this bus.

Ueno Fire Department Watchtower Upper Section

City Train Model 7500 /

Police Box at the Mansei Bridge /

We then had a lunch break before continuing on to check out the rest of the buildings in the east zone which gives you a taste of Showa era Japan.

To be continued...
