Kitakata Ramen [BANNAI] /

The ramen shop we went to is the one in the background. The shop on the left is an udon and soba shop.

As promised, this post features the ramen shop we ate at in Omori. The name of the shop is [Bannai] featuring the ramen of Kitakata - a town in Fukushima Prefecture. It's located right near the entrance to the train station. I ordered the Chashu-men and Mikako ordered the Negi Chashu-men. My oh my, the amount of chashu you get with your ramen will not disappoint the carnivore in you. It covers the entire bowl so you can't even seen the noodles. The soup is pork based but not as heavy as you would imagine.

Bon Appetit!

Okay--that does it--I have no idea when but I am coming to Japan--specifically Tokyo. and I am going to spend my entire time there eating ramen.
But for now I'm headed for Beijing and dumplings (I hope!)
