A Walk around Omori /

On a recent day off, we hopped on a local bus, got off at the last stop and walked around that area. The bus took us to place called Omori in Ota Ward. It was the start of another adventure in walking.

The first point of interest we came upon was Tenso Jinja near Omori Station on the Keihin Tohoku Line.

Walking down a different set of stairs, I discovered these plaques displayed along the wall. It featured the people and history of Omori.

We then had lunch at a neighborhood ramen shop (which I will save for another post) before continuing on with our exploration of Omori.

We then discovered a small park where a steam locomotive was on display.

As we continued walking, we discovered another shrine in a quiet location. It was called Kumano Jinja.

And another shrine - Kasuga Jinja.

On our way back to the bus station, we decided to treat ourselves to a little snack of tai-yaki - delicious.

And lastly, a bonus picture of an interesting display I saw on a building. It seems our walk pretty much was tour of shrines.

Until next time...
