Tokyo Flashback : Emergenza Japan-Fes 2015 / 東京フラッシュバック：エマージェンザ・ジャパンフェス ２０１５

Going back in time to 2015 when my wife and I still lived in Tokyo, we went to a concert festival / competition where the winner would get a chance to participate in a summer festival in Germany. It was the Emergenza Finals and our friend Yukio, who plays drums for the band Tough Box was one of the participants. I think our friend was just a little worried about winning since that means he would have to go to Germany and was quite busy with work due to the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 

ちょっと２０１５年にタイムスリップして、僕と妻がまだ東京に住んでた頃。私たちがあるライブを見に行った。エマージェンザはバンドのコンテスト。優勝者はドイツのサマーフェスに参加することが出来る。私たちの友達の幸男はタフ・ボックスというバンドでドラムを叩いてる。彼が多分優勝したら心配事があった感じ。彼は２０２０年の東京オリンピックの為、仕事が超忙しくなると言ってた。

Our friend would be competing in the C block against the bands CroiX, ninja beats, and Wire Stripper. 

友達が入ってるバンドのTough BoxはCブロックで、戦うバンドはCroiX、ninja beatsとWire Stripper。

Me and Yukio's wife Reiko sat out front to take tickets for guests. 

僕と幸男の妻、玲子と一緒に受付の仕事をやってました。

I watched quite a few bands but I don't remember which band was which. 

結構いろんなバンドを観ましたが、バンド名や誰を観たか覚えてない。

Well, Tough Box didn't win the competition so Yukio didn't have to worry about missing work or going to Germany. 

結果的、Tough Boxは優勝せず、幸男の仕事の心配やドイツ行きのことがなくなった。

Tokyo Flashback : Kiyosumi Garden / 東京フラッシュバック：清澄庭園

Traveling back a few years in time to the end of June in 2015, my wife and I decided to explore Kiyosumi Garden which is located near Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station on the Hanzomon Subway Line. 

ちょっとだけタイムスリップして、私たちが東京に住んでたころの２０１５年。６月の終わりくらい、地下鉄半蔵門線に乗って、清澄白河駅に行きました。目的はその駅の近くにある清澄庭園。

We spotted some koi or carp in the pond. 

池の中に鯉を発見した。

And some turtles as well. 

すっぽんも居ました。

We spent a lot of time watching the turles in the pictures below.

My wife and I walked around Kiyosumi Shirakawa and soon came upon another interesting place but that will be for the next time around.
