Tokyo Flashbacks : Italian Restaurant [Osteria Orto] / 東京フラッシュバック ：イタリアン料理 「オステリア オルト」

When we lived in Sangenjaya, there was an Italian restaurant I we always walked past. One day, we finally decided to have lunch there. The name of the place is called [Orto].

三軒茶屋に住んでてたとき、いつもあるイタリア料理店を通り過ぎました。店の名前は「オルト」。ある日、その店でランチを食べることにした。

We both ordered a pasta lunch set. It included bread with olive oil and a salad. 

私たちはパスタランチセットを注文しました。セットにパンとサラダ付。パンにオリーブオイルが付いてました。

Another slice of bread was served with the salad.

サラダにもパンが付いてた。

That's funny, this wasn't on the menu and we didn't order it. We thought maybe it was brought to the wrong table but it wasn't. It turned out the owner chef of the restaurant recognized my wife from the convenience store where she worked and he was a regular customer there. Lucky for us!

あれ？これはメニューには書いてなかったな。間違って私たちのテーブルに来たのかなと疑おうとしてが、実はこの店のオーナーチェフが僕の妻が働いててたコンビニのお客様で、妻の見覚えがあったことで、サービスしてくれた。ラッキー。

My wife had this white cabbage and asparagus peperoncino.

妻が白菜のアスパラのペペロンチーノを注文。

I had the classic pasta Bolognese, a meat sauce spaghetti.

僕は定番のパスタボロネーゼをチョイス。

It was quite delicious. Sometimes you will find an oyster burger on their lunch menu. I've tried it one time and thought it was quite good. However, my wife doesn't like to be recognized by her regular customers so this was the last time we had lunch there. Oh, I could have always gone on my own but I never did (except to eat the oyster burger) before this occasion.

すごく美味しかった。ランチメニューにたまにはオイスターバーガーを提供してる。一回だけ食べてみた。それも美味しいと思った。妻はコンビニの常連客をコンビニ以外で会うのがちょっと苦手なので、妻とこの店に一緒に来ることはなくなりました。
