Overnight trip to Urayasu (Part 5) / 浦安一泊の旅 （パート４）

Of course whenever we take a road trip with Yukio and Reiko, we are bound to go to at least one temple or shrine.  This trip was no different.  After leaving Moomin Valley (Akebono Chidren's Forest Park), we decided to head to a hot spring.  But first, we found our way to Kannonji Temple which was also featured in a manga called "Yama no Susume" known as "Encouragement of Climb" in English.  Um, I have never heard of the manga but the temple was nice. This temple features a large white elephant on its grounds.

もちろん私たちが幸男と玲子を旅すると必ずどっかのお寺か神社に寄って行く。ムーミン谷を去ったあと、温泉を目指しましたがそのまえにあるお寺にお参りしました。漫画「ヤマノススメ」にも登場した観音寺。このお寺の境内に白い像がいます。漫画は知りませんがお寺は結構良い所でした。

Here is something you don't find too often. A small udon shop on the temple grounds! So of course we had a bowl of udon.

これはあんまり見たことない。境内にうどん屋があった。もちろんここでうどんを食べました。

It was quite delicious too!

結構美味しかったよ！

And our last stop before heading home was a hot spring at Miyazawako Onsen Kirari Bettei.  Heck, we could have spent all day here.  This was the best place to relax. Check out the URL below for the open air bath we enjoyed.

And then our overnight trip was over.  Back to reality and work on Monday.
