This year I didn't think I was going to get a chance to see any cherry blossoms at my leisure except through the windows of a bus. I had no time for any excursions during the weekday and the weekends when the blossoms were in full bloom, I had other plans. So imagine my surprise when on a Sunday at the end of March as the wife and I were headed to Budokan for the D-Lite concert, we saw cherry blossoms in full bloom around an area called Chidorigafuji.
Okay, no cherry blossoms on the picture above but I thought it looked rather scenic.
Some other flowers in bloom as well. Unfortunately, I am not a flower expert so I don't know what kind of flower this is.
You can see some people having their hanami beneath the trees.
I think this might be my favorite cherry blossom picture this year with its reflection in the pond.
Until next year.

I didn't get a chance to visit Chidorigafuchi this year, but it's definitely The Number One Cherry Blossom Spot in Tokyo. ^^
