Hikawa Maru & Yokohama Marine Tower (Part 1) / 氷川丸と横浜マリンタワー （パート１）

Bryan stayed the night at our place and wasn't scheduled to head back to Osaka until six in the evening.  As luck was with us on his second in Tokyo, we decided to head out to Chinatown in Yokohama.  One of our main goals in finding the annin flavored Kit-Kats.  But it was such a nice day, I suggested we head over to Yamashita Park first.

ブライアンはうちで一泊しました。大阪帰りの電車は夕方の６時のだったので、今日も横浜行き。目的地は中華街。別に中華料理を食べるつもりでもない。本当の目的は杏仁豆腐味のキット・キャットを探す為でした。でも天気が良すぎて、中華街を行く前に山下公園を探索しようと僕が提案しました。

There was this beautiful fountain with the statue called "The Guardian of Water" presented to the people of Yokohama by the people of San Diego in 1960.  I believe I've featured a picture of this in a previous post some time ago.

素敵な噴水に「「水の守護神」がありました。これは１９６０年にサンディエゴ市民が横浜市民にプレゼントをされたものです。 以前でこの写真も載せた記憶もあるな。

A little information on the Hikawa Maru / 氷川丸について

The great thing about not making any real plans is exploring things on a whim.  For the inexpensive fee of 200yen, you could explore the Hikawa Maru which is exactly what we did.

中華街以外でなんかの観光を計画したわけじゃなかったが、山下公園にある氷川丸はたったの２００円で探索することが可能。面白そうから行ってみました。
