One last full day in Maui for me and Mikako. Today's plan is to make the drive along the Road to Hana. Of course, it will be my friend doing all the driving though. We are just going along for the ride. Apparently one of the most scenic drives in Maui and a must do if you ever make it there.
マウイ島で最後のフールデイだ。今日の予定は“ハナへの道”をのドライブだ。運転するのは僕の友達なんですけど。私たちは乗るだけ。マウイ島に行けば、必ずやるべきの事です。
On our way to Hana, we passed a sugar plantation.
ハナへの道の途中にサトウキビ工場もありました。
And there were quite a few sugarcane fields.
サトウキビ畑はいっぱいありました。
We made a short stop in the town of Paia to grab some lunch to go.
パイアという街でランチをトゥ・ゴーで買いました。
Lunch time - I had myself a Captain Aloha sandwich. This is made with homemade sun-dried tomato hummus, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, carrot, sprouts, and red onion. Surprised? That's right, there is no meat in this sandwich, but still really delicious. But you must check out where we ate our lunch. At a view point for Maui's North Shore.
昼食 ‐ 自分が食べたのはキャプテン・アロハ・サンド。中身は手作りのサン・ドライド・トマトハマス、レタス、キュリ、トマト、人参、スプロウト、とレッドオニオン。以外？そうなのよ、肉が入ってません！ベジタリアンサンドですが、とっても美味しいです！ 車内で食べたわけじゃない。マウイ島のノースショアが見える絶景スポット。
And did a little bird watching as well.
そこでバードウォッチングもやりました。
It's still a long ways to Hana...
ハナまではまだまだ。。。
