On our day off, we decided to head out to Odaiba. This is a very popular date spot for young couples but that wasn't the reason why we went there. We went to check out the 18m (about 60ft) tall Gundam figure standing in a place called Shiokaze Park celebrating Gundam's 30 year anniversary. For those of you who are not big anime fans, Gundam is a popular Japanese anime that first aired in 1979 and spawned a huge franchise. It will be standing there until the end of this month before it moves to Shizuoka Prefecture.
休日に私たちは久しぶりの近所散歩に出かけました。今回散歩する場所はお台場。お台場と言えば、若者の人気デートスポットですが、その為に行った訳じゃない。目的は潮風公園に立ってる１８メーターのガンダム。ガンダムは日本の人気アニメシリーズ、今年で３０周年をむかいました。今月末までしか見れないので、見るべしと思った。自分はガンダム世代ではないんですが、でも実際のガンダムは自分の目で見たかった。月末に静岡県に移動するらしい。
