Tokyo Flashback : Barcelona Fish Market / 東京フラッシュバック：バルセロナ・フィッシュ・マーケット

As we continued to explore Shiodome, it was lunch time so we decided to look for somewhere to eat. We came upon a restaurant called [Barcelona Fish Market] in the Caretta Shiodome Building. Although their main menu dish is seafood, I decided to order the roast beef bowl. I think my wife ordered a seafood dish.

汐留の散歩で街を探索してたら、昼食の時間になりました。ランチを食べるところを探してみた。カレッタ汐留の中に気になるレストランを発見。それが「バルセロナ・フィッシュ・マーケット」。メニューを見たら海鮮料理以外のものもありました。フィッシュ・マーケットという名前が付けてるのに、僕が注文したのはその店のメニューに載ってるローストビーフ丼。妻は確か魚料理を注文した。

Ah yes, I ordered a beer with my meal which include a plate of salad.

そうだ、俺はランチと共にビールも注文した。ローストビーフ丼はサラダ付きでした。

The salad was topped with tofu, not cheese.

サラダに豆腐が乗ってた、チーズではありません。

My lunch also included soup.

ランチセットにスープも付いてます。

The roast beef bowl. You crush the egg yolk and mix it up. It was so good.

ローストビーフ丼。たまごの黄身を潰して混ぜて食べる料理。とっても美味しかった。

The fish dish my wife ordered.

妻が注文した魚料理。なんの魚か覚えてない。

Tokyo Flashback : A Walk around Shiodome (Part 1) / 東京フラッシュバック：汐留の散歩（パート１）

I think it's time for another post set in the summer to make me forget about the snow and snow-shoveling in Aomori. Going back to the summer of 2015, my wife and I decided to walk around the neighborhood of Shiodome.

青森の雪と雪かきを忘れる為また東京に住んでたころで夏の冒険を語ります。僕と妻がある週末に汐留に行ってその周辺を散歩した。

The first place we decided to explore was Caretta Shiodome which is a large shopping and dining center. The building also houses the Advertising Museum Tokyo.

最初に探索したのはカレッタ汐留。大きなショッピングとダイニングセンターです。ビルの中にアド・ミュージアム東京があります。

Shiodome is also home to Nippon Television and when we went, the broadcasting company was holding their annual summer event. They changed the name of the event to "Cho Shiodome Paradise 2015 Summer". The event was held from July 25 to August 30 at the Nippon Television Tower and surroundings. You could check out the displays of different television programs shown on Nippon Television. There were different attractions and collaboration between Nippon Television and Evangelion.

日テレが汐留にあり、ちょうど行ったひに日テレが恒例のサマーイベントをリニューアルし、「超汐留パラダイス Summer 2015」を開催。このイベントに番組のアトラクションや日テレならではのコラボレーションを実施してた。社会現象を起こしたアニメ「エヴァンゲリオン」のキャラクターたちも展示されてた。

To the right of Ayako Imoto is a T-shirt featuring the character Pyonkichi from [Dokonjo Gaeru] known as "The Gutsy Frog" in English.

イモトの隣にあるＴシャーツに「ど根性ガエル」のぴょんきちが載ってる。

This display is from the movie [Heroine Shikkaku] or "Heroine Disqualified" in English starring Mirei Kiritani. I watched it because Kiritani is so cute.

このディスプレイは映画「ヒロイン失格」のもの。主役は桐谷美玲。彼女が超可愛いからこの映画を観ましたな。

These guys with the rubber bats can always be seen on the New Year's Eve program titled [Waratte wa ikenai] which means don't laugh. If the participants laugh, they get whacked in the rear with those bats.

バットを持ってる人物は大晦日で恒例になってる番組、「ダウントウンのガキの使いやあらへんで！」が生み出した「笑ってはいけない」シリーズに出てくるもの。ガキの使いメンバーが笑ったら、そのバットで罰を受けるとう番組。

The costume worn by actress/ fashion model An in the television program [Hanasaki Mai ga Damatte Nai] which translates to "Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out". A character who works at the head office of Tokyo Daiichi Bank located in Chiyoda Ward.

モデル・女優の杏さん主演のドラマ「花咲舞が黙ってない！」で実際に使われた東京第一銀行の制服。
