Tokyo Flashback : Brazilian Barbecue [Travesso Grill] / 東京フラッシュバック：ブラジリアン・バーベキュー「トラヴェソ・グリル」

One of the things I miss about living in Tokyo is the variety of restaurants to choose from. On one occasion, I went out with my co-workers from Costco. We planned on going to Yokohama's Chinatown to eat some......Brazilian barbecue!! Yes, right in the middle of the Chinatown district, there is a Brazilian barbecue restaurant called [Travesso Grill].

東京生活でたまに恋しくなるのはやっぱり飲食店の豊富さ。前の職場の同僚で夕飯の約束をしてた。みんなで横浜中華街で。。。ブラジリアンバーベキューを食べることになった。はい、中華街の中にブラジリアン料理店がある。店の名前は「トラヴェソ・グリル」。

Here we are in Chinatown.

You see. There really is a Brazilian barbecue restaurant in Chinatown.

言ったでしょう。中華街の中にブラジリアンバーベキューレストランがある。

Yes, it's a buffet style and it's all-you-can-eat.

はい、バイキングです。ブラジリアンバーベキューということでシュラスコ食べ放題です。

This Brazilian barbecue style is called churasco.

シュラスコ食べ放題って最高。

Meat! Meat! Meat! And more Meat!

肉！肉！肉！そしてまた肉！

Oh, did I forget to mention that I was the only guy among a bevy of beauties that I work with.

あっ、言うの忘れたかな。同僚は全て素敵な女子。唯一の男は僕一人。

Some of my co-workers are also no longer with the company. One had moved to another Prefecture due to her husband's job. One left the company for unknown reasons, and yet another opened her own guest house in Kawasaki after leaving the company.

この写真で何人がまだコストコに働いてるかわかりません。一人は突然辞めたので、もう一人は旦那の仕事関係で別の県に引っ越しました。更に一人が会社をやめて、自分で羽田空港近くにゲストハウスを営んでる。

It's a buffet. I have to try other stuff on the menu.

I usually like my pineapple chilled, but these grilled pineapple strips with cinnamon are awesome.

普段は冷えたパイナップルが好きですが、このグリルパイナップルのシナモンかけがたまらいない。

I don't know why but there was a small display room full of baseball memorabilia.

なぜかわかりませんが店内に野球に関する展示部屋があった。

We were stuffed. Time to leave Chinatown and go back home.

満腹になって、あとは中華街を去って帰るしかない。

A great evening was had by all.

みんなげ結構食べて良い気分で帰りました。
